Hi There lovelies!
I hope you’re all keeping well and are ready for the weekend. It’s almost here hurray!
If you read my last post, you will know that I was thinking about joining Slimming World. Well, I took the plunge and joined up last week! It was brilliant! I joined Ann’s group in Cudworth, Barnsley that’s on Wednesdays at 5.
It may me realise why I first joined all those years ago and left feeling more positive than ever. You get so many resources at your disposal and so much support. It’s lovely. It felt like a little family and I am officially hooked!
The only problem was that I went away to Whitby with Lee for a few days for a late Valentine’s getaway. We never do anything like this so I really enjoyed it. However, I gave myself license to eat and drink whatever and I really did go for it!
So when we were coming back yesterday (my first weigh day), I very nearly didn’t go to Slimming World. But I made myself go (managed to gain 2.5lb) and thus from this week am treating it as my first full week on the Slimming World Extra Easy Plan.I need help trying to find the free foods to snack on as I love to snack between meals but don’t want to reach for the syn-laden goodies. If you’ve been on SW for a while and feel like you’re a syns guru, then I need your help!
I started off last week thinking I was being good having my Cheerios for breakfast, then realised I had eaten 9 syns just from cereal! GUTTED!
So I have now delved into my book, on the app and online and am trying really hard to pick the low syn/free foods to eat. It’s hard though because I’ve done it my own way for so long; incorporating Slimming World into things seems harder than I thought it would be.
What tips do you seasoned Slimming World members have for a newbie? I really want to know!
It’d be good if I could buddy up online with someone who knows their syns inside out so you can help me and maybe there is some knowledge I can impart too. 🙂 Just a thought.
Anyway, have a wonderful day guys and remember, every day is a chance to start afresh and turn a bad week into a good one! (The cheese just keeps getting better!)
